**COMMUNITY REMINDER**
During a major emergency, WTCM 103.5 FM and 580 AM are the designated Emergency Alert System representatives for Northwest Lower Michigan, including all of Grand Traverse County and the City of Traverse City. If there is a major emergency or a Local State of Emergency is declared, important information will be provided by tuning radios to 103.5 FM or 580 AM.

CODE RED Emergency Alert
Follow the link for CODE RED and fill in the appropriate information to be notified by local emergency response teams in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. CODE RED notifications could be for: evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, or missing child reports.

Smart911 is a free service that allows citizens across the U.S. to create a safety profile for their household that includes any information they want 911 to have in the event of an emergency. Then, when anyone in that household dials 911 from a phone associated with their safety profile, their profile is immediately displayed to the 911 call taker providing additional information that can be used to facilitate the proper response to the proper location. At a time when seconds count, Smart911 is able to provide 911 with all the details that could impact response and be the difference between life and death.

Car Seat Safety Inspections
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians are available to inspect children's car seat for recalls, proper installation, appropriateness for child and other safety concerns.
