East Bay Charter Township is a Passport Acceptance Facility.
We are accepting Passport applications by appointment only. Please call (231) 947-8647 to schedule an appointment. There will be significant delays due to the US Department of State opening their facilities in phases and operating with limited staff. As directed by the US Department of State; we are highly recommending and encouraging you to wait until they are processing at full capacity to submit your passport application.
Currently the US Department of State are slowly opening up their Passport processing facilities in 3 phases. Some facilities are in Phase 1; which is limited staff and Passports will be processed on a first in, first out basis, beginning with the oldest applications received. They recommend customers wait to submit new or renewal applications as delays will continue. Please visit travel.state.gov for updates.
