East Bay Township to host Community Development Fellow

Through a successful funding award from a competitive grant application process, we’re excited to announce that East Bay Charter Township has an open fellowship position for 2023-24! Our fellow will work with our team for 15 months on projects that strengthen ties between our residents and ultimately improve the quality of life in East Bay Township. Fellows play a vital role by adding more capacity to our programs so we can accomplish all the goals we’ve set as a community. Our fellow will assist with the Beach District subarea plan and public engagement, Three Mile Trail Extension and Safe Routes to School, implementation of the master plan, and other economic development initiatives.

This fellowship is managed and largely funded by the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM), with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). CEDAM is a coalition of leaders across Michigan’s community development sector that work to create vibrant, inclusive spaces for all people to live and work. Through programs, advocacy, and other resources, CEDAM promotes community development and equity.

This is a full-time, salaried 15-month position beginning May 2023. The deadline to apply is March 5 – More information about the Fellow Program is available at this link. See the full job description and steps for how to apply here.
